The response to yesterday's sale was tremendous. So much so, that I was completely overwhelmed and moved to tears.

I was expecting only a few small sales.

As I was editing my listings Thursday night (which took well over 3 hours), tired with a neck cramp and a right arm that had completely gone numb, self-doubt began to set in. I was certain, that nobody would have seen or read the notice in my shop, that nobody would actually mark this day in their calendar and make it a point to stop by. I was upset with myself that I had never bothered to compile a customer mailing list. I was fraught with worry.

I had no idea.

I am more than delighted that a little piece of my world will become a small piece of your world.

Catching Up

Well, we did have lots of fun in the snow and the hot chocolate was divine (Williams Sonoma - it was definitely worth the astronomical price).

I took this picture from our backyard the following morning. I was a little late getting out and most of the snow had already started to melt from the branches. I had full intentions of waking up early and heading out with my camera before Mark headed off to work, but sometimes it is nice to just sit back and enjoy things. Usually I don't like to lounge around in pajamas, but this particular morning I did. I will be out earlier next time!


I also added a new necklace to the shop. It is a bit of a departure from my usual comfort zone , but I am pleased with the results.

The Poets Darling

A new series of gerbera daisies will be coming to the shop soon! They are moody, dark, and rather gorgeous (well....I think so).

Unfortunately, this has to be a rather quick post as I've got many many things to do. November is quickly steamrolling into December and the panic is beginning to set in.

Getting Inspired

I had such a productive day today.

feels
so
good

Tuesday is my one day of the week I set aside for jewelry. I have a babysitter from 930am - 330pm and I try to get as much done as I can. Lately my Tuesdays have been eaten up with appointments, packing, and errands.

Not today.

We have decided to postpone putting our house up on the market (which I am very excited about) and I've decided to try my best to be organized on Tuesdays so that I can actually spend some time creating.

The ideas were flowing from my fingers. You can even expect a few new necklaces (shocking I know). They should be coming into the shop over the next week (if I can get myself organized enough to list everything).

Goodness

Today

I indulged.
I ate too much chocolate.
I slept in an extra hour (thank you daylight savings).
I went for a gorgeous stroll with the boys after school and watched the sunset.
I made it to the front page of Etsy today.
I also made my first sale at underabluesky .
