Happy Holidays

Well, the table is now set. The presents wrapped. Logs are in the fire. Soon we will be off to mass and then returning home for our little feast. On the menu? Steak, grilled to perfection, twice stuffed potatoes and plenty of champagne and wine.

This is my favourite night of the year.

I sincerely hope this holiday finds you and your loved ones well and happy.

All my best,
Charlene

Snow Day

I think a snow day calls for some homemade cupcakes. All of that shovelling does call for some extra fuel. Don't you think?

We are enjoying a spectacular blizzard at the moment.

The world is white and frosty.

It is a perfect day for baking.

Keep warm everybody :)

Sunshine and Snow

The sun came out today. It shone brilliantly. It feels like it has been weeks since I've last felt its rays and it felt so good!!!

We also received a fluffy white blanket of new snow. I shoveled, while the boys plowed.

Hope some sunshine has reached you today as well!

Winter Woods

Please meet....

our new tree.

She's quite a beauty. We are hoping to trim her up in the next few days (although I really don't think she needs any trimming at all).

We enjoyed a wonderful walk through winter woods this morning. There were so many splendid things to see.

Hope you were able to catch a little beauty today too!

C'mon Santa

Oh how I love Christmas. I really do.

Today, I took the kids out of school, went downtown with my mom to look at the Christmas windows, see the "right jolly old elf", and have a nice lunch.

The windows were splendid, the boys couldn't bear to part from them.

As for the "right jolly old elf" , well.....I say to you......

SUCK
IT
UP

Pretend to like your job (remember you did willingly sign up for this 3 week stint).
If you don't really care for children then just pretend to be interested in children.
Please don't sit there like you are bored to tears.
Please if you are not feeling well and can't bear to smile, stay at home.
Please do not crush the hopes and dreams of little ones.
You can only believe in the magic for so long.

I really wanted to beat you over the head, Santa.

Next year, I think it best to simply admire you from afar.

Wednesday

I've been working on some new photos for under a blue sky. Most have been listed in the shop.

I was also very excited to hear I made it to the front page of Etsy today! I missed seeing it, but I was able to get a look at the gorgeous list by stormysky. The bracelet in the list did sell today. Coincidence?

I'm now off to make one of my favourite meals (homemade macaroni and cheese with extra sharp cheese and fresh tomatoes), do some laundry, and clean up this messy, messy house. 'Tis a glamorous life I lead:)
