Perfect in Every Way Except

I saw Where the Wild Things Are this weekend.

It was heartbreaking, beautiful, and wonderful.

It was perfect in every way except this is not a movie for young children. My mistake. I sat completely riveted to the screen, while my little guys were bored and confused - wondering what happened to their bedtime story. How did it get so heavy?

Sorry little guys. Maybe in fifteen years or so you will learn to love this weird movie your mother insisted on seeing. Maybe one day you will know why she cried.

Here's a new addition to the shop..........

Lovely new photo.

I've been wanting to see this movie but my best friend was disapointed, so I've been worried. I'm glad to hear you liked it - I think she just didn't anticipate the heaviness. I like heartbreakingly beautiful, though, but now I know to take some kleneex.

Glad you enjoyed it!
You know, that is exactly what I thought when I saw the trailer for this movie..it did not seem like a movie for children...it seemed intense and slower paced than most children's movies...that's too bad because I bought the book for my nieces in order to peak their curiosity and prep them for the movie. Now I won't be taking them.
