The Calm

...before the storm.

Life is suddenly about to get very busy (in a good, good way). I have a lot of hard work ahead and some very exciting projects in the works.

I will not be blogging again for quite awhile.

A huge THANK YOU to my readers and friends I have met along the way. I will continue to follow along with you as much as I can.

Take care,
C

Shining so Bright

To step outside.
To inhale the sting of cold winter air.
To look up into an ink black sky.
To see you little star.
Shining so bright.

Now available. Here.

2010

Happy New Year friends.

We're having a sort of rambling yet quiet day today. Watching the snow fall, drinking hot chocolate, disassembling all things Christmas. I always dread taking everything down. The house suddenly seems quiet and empty, so we've been filling it up with music.

Keep warm.

Wishing You

...the very best this holiday season!!!!!!!!

I hope your holiday is full of laughter, warmth, and love.

I'm going to disconnect and close up shop for awhile. We're sooo excited in this house over what is to come in the next few days. Kyle has only been asking for a Christmas tree every day since June.

I think the look on his face says it all.
Thank you for bringing the magic back my dear sweet boys.

I'll see you in the new year!

The Prettiest Things

My friend Berna makes the prettiest jewelry.

Don't you think?
Those beads. Those BEADS!!!!
I just had to share something beautiful today.

I was going to try and photograph some homemade Christmas cookies, but these are much prettier.

Hope you are all well!

New!

Now in the shop.

I'm now off to nurse my wounded thumb, which I expertly sliced up (it is still thankfully in one piece) during dinner prep last night. Yeesh.

The Gift

I just received this over the weekend.

My present has finally arrived . A portrait of my beautiful little boys painted by the talented Theresa Maxwell. I first met Theresa during the Beach Studio Tour and was immediately taken with her work. All of her work. Her effortless brushstrokes, rich in colour, full of shadow and light, immediately made my heart skip a beat or two.

My mother and sister (oh they are clever, thoughtful girls) commissioned Theresa for this piece to be done for my birthday. I sent her a few photographs I thought might work, and am completely in awe of the final result. I've spent hours just staring at it. I wish I could describe to you how much better it is in person, but words right now are failing me. The jpeg will have to suffice.

I will treasure this always.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
